a update....

So we are now moving onto 11 months home. Wow, I can't believe it. This journey has been a very long one. Not that all parenting is easy. But raising a child who has had some one else influenced her for the last 12 years has not been easy. Not that the Lord ever said it would be easy...
School has started and things do seem to be getting easier. Kali, (Kalkidan) has now started 7th grade and is doing OK. She still has allot to learn about American culture, language and just life. But what 12 yr old doesn't. She has improved so much on her social skills, I couldn't be more happy for that. She seems to want to keep Friends, that she is making now. she has getting a little better about learning to keep her hands to her self. She still feels that we have to many rules and doesn't like to follow them. last week She started to open up on God. She started the Jr. high youth group and I am hoping that will help tons. The more she realizes that all girls her age has rules and exceptions of them, things to get easier. also she seems to be excepting the fact that she is here and the oldest girl here too. We hope to start counseling for her soon, now that she knows English better. (to help her deal with her life circumstances.)
Rucy, (eyerusalem) is doing so good. She has her bad days like any kid but most of the time she is enjoyable. She started third grade again and is doing OK. Taya and her are now acting like sisters. they fight like sisters, they make up like sisters, and play like sisters. They love playing on the same team for soccer. She has tons of friends at church and school. I think what has helped Rucy is the fact that she had excepted her spot almost right away. Compared to her oldest sister. She seems to fit right in with almost any group of kids. She may still want allot of attention at times but all her little things are manageable and not harmful to any one. She has been such a blessing to this family.
The boys have started football and love it. Jethro has to play up on the B squad. He is the smallest boy on his team but he does great and holds his own. Isak is doing really well this year too. School has been very hard for Isak to adjust to. So much bigger of a school and things are done different. He is a trooper no big complains. Just not really happy with being there. Taya, is adjusting to the second grade class great. She loves to jump in and join most things. She a little shy at school but has not stopped her from making friends. And my baby is doing great. Enjoying every moment of mom by her self.
I guess that's all for now. I look forward to being with my family for my brother Quentin's wedding this October. I get to go by self.. A good and bad thing. I wish Steven was coming. But he has to hold the fort down. Love and God bless all of you- Crystal
Ps. Yes we still are dealing with the horrid ring worm...who knows if it will ever go away.

I love the name Ruthy. Is that her nickname or you gave her that name. I am so excited that are getting better. As long as they forward and not backwards that always important. Does't time just fly?
